Rogers Family Videography Session + Family Film in Edgewood
I recently had a summer photo and video session with this really cool family, who is dear to my heart. I was honored to witness the birth of their youngest, who turned one year old that weekend. I love working with this family--their girls are hilarious, the baby is adorable, and the overall feeling of love is simply gorgeous.
I wanted to capture this moment for them; summer fun as a family of five. Big changes are coming and the memory of this time is precious. The family film that resulted shows their immense love for each other, and the genuine fun they have together. Nothing posed or staged, just authentic connections and lots of fun.
Because family photography and family videography doesn’t need to be stressful. It should be time well spent as a family that you want to remember! I want to document your real life just as it is, there’s no need for perfectly behaved children or highly stylized photos. Real life is messy and beautiful, and candid photography and films will show you and preserve that beauty.
I offer three overlapping genres of Family Videography: Home Movies (a couple of hours of the whole family having fun together), Birthday Portraits (documenting one child at this specific age) and Newborn | Hello World Films (a short and sweet introduction of your newborn to the world). Each videography session includes a phone call to talk over a loose plan, and each film also comes with 10-15 still images taken from our time together.
While photographs can beautifully capture a single moment, videos bring those moments to life in a way that's simply unparalleled. There's something magical about seeing and hearing our loved ones in motion—it's like reliving the memories all over again. You get to see the smiles, hear the voices, and feel the emotions as they happened. It’s like stepping into a time machine that takes you back to those cherished times whenever you press play.
