Johnson Family Photo Session in Collier Hills

I recently photographed this awesome family at a park in Collier Hills. I have been their family photographer for a few years now, and it's been great watching their family grow! Their newest family member is a few of months old, and oh so patient with his sweet big sisters!

We met at the park early on a Saturday morning before the heat really set in. It was a great session. This session feels like summer to me…sandals, swings and twirling.

Something that made this session so great is that this family understands the importance of having fun during our photo sessions. I know that posing for the camera can sometimes feel awkward or intimidating, but trust me, the best photos happen when we let loose and enjoy the moment. A few thoughts on how to approach our session so that I can make great photos of your family:

  • First and foremost, a genuine smile is worth a thousand posed ones. When you're having fun, your happiness shines through in every shot. The moments of laughter and joy are what make the photos truly special. They capture your spirit and the essence of who you are.

  • One of my main goals during our sessions is to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I want you and your kids to feel like you're hanging out with a friend, not just standing in front of a camera. We'll chat, joke around, and maybe even dance a little! When you're at ease, your natural expressions and movements create beautiful, authentic photos that tell your story.

  • Some of the best photos come from spontaneous moments. Maybe it's an unexpected burst of laughter, a playful jump, or a sweet hug. These candid shots often turn out to be the most memorable because they capture the real, unfiltered you. So, let’s embrace spontaneity! If you have a fun idea, let's try it. If something silly happens, let's roll with it. These moments add personality and life to our photos.

My ultimate goal is to create art out of your life. Every session is a unique opportunity to capture the beauty of your everyday moments. By focusing on having fun, we transform simple interactions into artistic expressions. Your laughter, your quirks, your genuine connections with loved ones—they all become part of the artwork we create together.

Our photo sessions are not just about the final images but also about the experience itself. When you look back at the photos, I want you and your kids to remember the fun we had and the memories we made. Those feelings of joy and connection will shine through every time you look at the pictures, making them even more special.
