I want to make genuine photos that document your beautiful mess just as it is right now because real life is the best and time is flying by.
The days are long but the years are short, and this family of yours is constantly changing. So, let's document authentic rather than ‘perfect’ cookie-cutter moments to preserve your family's story. There’s no need for perfectly placed hair or well-behaved children. You'll have documentary portraits and honest, candid photos that you and your kids will cherish.

Think of it like fun, laid-back time spent with your family while I tag along to document it through family photojournalism.
We will start our session with a few family portraits (because I know that portraits are important, too) and then we will move into the fun candid time. Planning a few activities might help everyone relax, but it’s not necessary.
I’ll show you that your everyday life is full of beautiful little moments.
Candid Family Photos in Atlanta
Completely customized to you and your family, you will choose a location that best suits your family and one that is meaningful to you. This often means your home, but can include other locations too. Your session will focus on the natural, emotive connections your family shares and the big personalities within the family, with very minimal posing—if any at all.
Family photo sessions can be one hour or up to a half day, depending on how much of your story you want to tell. The longer sessions are great because it’s easier for me to blend into the background and make art out of your real life. Whether we are at your home or out and about in your world, the best pictures happen when everyone is comfortable, without the pressure to perform or say cheese.
You’ll receive an online photo gallery of images you can download and print. There will be a mix of environmental portraiture and completely candid documentary photography. I love designing albums for families, too, to help get those images off of your screen and into your home.

We have multiple documentary sessions throughout the year where you make a plan to have fun as a family while I tag along.
