Frequently asked questions.
-
There are a lot of variables to consider with this question, like the length of our session, how many people are involved, and how many different locations or activities are covered in our time together.
I rarely deliver less than 100 photos in a gallery, and I try hard not to deliver more than 200 photos.

Babies are on their own schedules, for sure. It’s still best to go ahead and get on my calendar before your baby is born, and we will adjust if needed. I ask that you just pick a weekday morning around your estimated due date, and when your baby is born we will check in and decide if we need to reschedule.

We don't have to use all of the time we set aside, and for longer sessions I won't be shooting every second. But the longer built in time allows for multiple locations plus a variety of moods--no need to sweat the tantrums because I'll be there for the calm, too.
The last thing I want is for anyone to feel rushed during our session. The best, most natural pictures are made when people are enjoying themselves and feel comfortable--even better when they forget I'm there.

The short answer is no.
The way that I want to document your family's story just isn't possible in a mini session...With that said, I sometimes run mini session specials (for Mother's Day, for example) and if you're interested be sure to sign up for the newsletter down below.
My Snapshot session is only an hour long, and this flies by when shooting in a documentary style.

Yes. My payment is structured as a built-in 3 payment plan, because I totally get that my work is an investment. The first payment is due to book your session, the second is due just before the session, and the third is due to access your edited photos. If you need a different plan, let’s talk.

My very favorite location is your home. Your home is such a big part of your story, and it's where everyone is the most comfortable.
I'm also happy to head out into your world to locations that are meaningful to you and your family, and part of your life. I don't scout locations looking for pretty sunsets. So you tell me where to meet you!

If we need to reschedule we will. I want you to love your photos, and if the plan was to be outside we will push it to another day.
-
I want to document your real life, so I want y'all wearing your real life clothes that you feel great in. I'd say avoid neon and giant logos that are distracting, but other than that, you do you.

I want to document your real life, regardless of lighting.
We want everyone to be happy, so that's often mornings but you know your family. If our session is outdoors or in public, then earlier might be better when less people are out and about.
But good moods trump pretty light any day of the week! For newborn sessions I recommend late mornings, as this seems to be a good time for many families with a new baby—but you know best.

Yep!
When you receive your on-line gallery it is connected to a shop with prints, framed prints and albums from professional labs.
Albums are my favorite, and I'm happy to help you decide on products and design your perfect album for you. You are free to print your photos anywhere, I just hope that you print them somewhere.
And yes, there is a difference between cheap prints and professional lab prints, especially when it comes to how long they will exist. Heirloom prints will last for generations.

Sure do!
I can’t think of a better gift for parents or grandparents, and I’m happy to mail or email you a gift certificate that you can give to your lucky loved one.
“The pictures were fun and natural; she was able to capture all the laughter and love and managed to keep my three-year-old son engaged in the process. Highly recommend.”
