Kirmizioglu Family Film at Home and at Piedmont Park in Atlanta
Family Videography
What could possibly be better than authentic candid family photos? How about a family film that includes movement and audio?! Family videography is relatively new to the family photography scene, and I have loved offering it to families for a few years now. Of course videography has been around for a long time when it comes to big family events, but video is a beautiful way to document the beautiful everyday moments of family life, too.
With a Family Film, you not only see your precious babies long after they have grown up into adults, but you also get the special opportunity to hear their laughter and watch the unique ways they moved and interacted with the world around them. You can witness that adorable toddler learning to walk or that spirited tween mastering the art of riding her bike. It’s a beautiful kind of magic that powerfully transports you back to a time in your life that most likely went by in a swift blur.
A Family Film Session
Every family film session starts with a conversation about your family, and what it is that you want to remember about this moment. Together we come up with a very loose plan about how our time together will unfold. Nothing is staged, it’s completely authentic and candid documentary style, just like my photography.
After the session I will curate small clips and set them to music to tell a story of your family. Every family film session includes the film of course, plus at least 10-15 photos. This will include a portrait or two if you want, plus some candid photos from our time together.
I was thrilled to make a second family film for the Kirmizioglu family. Our loose plan was that I would meet them at home on a Saturday morning, and hang out as they made and ate breakfast. After that we would walk over to Piedmont Park for soccer practice. A super simple regular Saturday morning outline, and I’m thrilled with what we ended up with. It ended up being a very fall day in Atlanta—leaves everywhere and a fog that just sat right over the skyline, and we captured what life is like for this family these days.
Enjoy!
